Privacy Policy
This beta-stage privacy policy describes what EdgeStudio currently processes, why we process it, which third-party services we rely on, and what controls are available today.
Overview
EdgeStudio is a web-based trading journal for discretionary futures traders. This policy applies to the public website, the authenticated application, and the connected product features that are live today.
This document is product-informed and reflects the current implementation. It is not legal advice and may be updated as the product, infrastructure, or legal requirements evolve.
Data We Process
Depending on how you use the service, EdgeStudio currently processes:
- Account and authentication data such as your login email address and the authentication/session data required to keep you signed in.
- Trading workspace data such as imported trades, tags, dashboards, filters, journal notes, screenshots, instrument settings, and related review data.
- Billing and subscription data such as subscription status, trial variant, renewal dates, Stripe customer IDs, and Stripe subscription IDs.
- Optional integration data such as YouTube channel IDs, session video URLs, and session start times when you use the YouTube workflow.
- Anonymous usage and performance measurement data used to understand traffic volume, page performance, and service reliability.
EdgeStudio does not store your full payment card details. Card collection and payment handling are performed by Stripe.
Why We Use This Data
- To create and secure user accounts and keep authenticated sessions active.
- To provide the core product features: trade import, journaling, analytics, screenshots, settings, and trading-session review.
- To manage trials, recurring subscriptions, billing state, and customer support related to access.
- To support optional features you activate yourself, such as YouTube video workflows.
- To detect abuse, troubleshoot operational issues, and improve reliability, performance, and launch readiness.
Service Providers
EdgeStudio currently relies on the following infrastructure providers:
- Supabase for authentication, database infrastructure, and storage used by live product features such as screenshots.
- Stripe for subscription checkout, billing portal access, and subscription lifecycle events.
- Vercel for hosting, application delivery, and anonymous website/performance analytics.
- Google / YouTube for the optional YouTube integration and embedded playback workflow.
These providers may process data on our behalf to operate the service, each under their own terms and privacy commitments.
Retention
Trading and journal data are retained while your account remains active or until you remove them using the deletion tools available in the product.
Billing-related references and operational logs may be retained for a longer period where needed for fraud prevention, bookkeeping, support, security, or compliance obligations.
Anonymous analytics and performance data are used in aggregate to understand launch traffic and product stability.
Security And International Transfers
EdgeStudio uses hosted infrastructure, authenticated sessions, and encrypted transport to protect data in transit. Access is limited to the systems and services required to operate the product.
Because the service depends on global cloud providers, data may be processed in countries outside your own. By using the service, you understand that these international transfers may occur as part of normal operations.
Your Controls
- You can delete trades in-app by date range or clear all imported trades from the current account workspace.
- You can remove entire trading accounts and their related trade data from the account/instrument settings flow.
- You can manage billing through the Stripe portal made available inside the application.
- For broader privacy or account requests, use the official Discord support channel linked on the site and in the Help Center.
If a requested action is not yet available as self-service, it will be handled manually where reasonably possible for the current beta stage.
Changes
EdgeStudio may update this Privacy Policy when the product, integrations, infrastructure, or legal requirements change. Material updates will be reflected by changing the date at the top of this page.
